Can TrackTesting get me a record deal and get signed?
If you’ve already approached a record company in an attempt to get a record deal, you’ll know how tough it can be. Whilst we don’t have a magic formula about how to get a record deal, we have developed a system and process which if you’re good enough, will get your music distributed and in front of the right people. Record deals are few and far between, and if you get signed, you’re truly one of the lucky few. Using our system, we can’t promise you will get a record deal, but your music will get distributed, you could earn royalties, and record companies will definitely listen to your music.
Here’s how the process works :
How we test and distribute your music
Upload
track for testing
When you have uploaded your track and soundbite to TrackTesting, the test will
be sent out to our testers.
You upload a 30 sec. soundbite (hook line) along with the full track.
(How to upload)
Soundbite test
First we test a collection of the soundbites from various artists in one test.
You will receive a test report with the ratings and comments from the Track
Testers. If the rating of the soundbite is high enough you will be offered a
separate test of the full track.
(See example of a soundbite test report)
Track test
When you continue with a track test, you will receive the full test report after
a few days.
(See example of a full test report)
Distribution for labels A&R, DJs and playlist comittees.
If your rating is high enough the track will be submitted to A&R's with a number
of labels. For more information see TT Promotion
Platform and TT Pro Panel.
Distribution for download sales.
If your track is rated sufficiently well by our Track Testers, your track is
automatically distributed for download sales though global distribution channels
and the TrackTesting on-line music store.
